Today’s photo is of an amazing tree living on a small island in Croatia.  Isn’t it unbelievable how it grows at such a precarious angle?  Apparently, it has very deep roots! 

I love trees.  They remind us to be fully grounded in our lives.  They exemplify all the attributes of being solidly planted within our own bodies.  Because of their vigor, trees thrive and survive for hundreds--some even thousands--of years.

Today, spend time focusing on your inner strength.  You are stronger than you may realize.  Your powers are amazing. . .astonishing. . .unbelievable!

I imagine if I was one of these water lilies. . .soaking up the warmth of the sun. . .being lulled by gentle waves in the pond. . .I would feel very free from trouble and care.

Boy, I’d like to be there right now!  I may physically be sitting in a chair looking out the window at another cold Ohio winter’s day, but my thoughts can take me on a cheerful journey to a remote, quiet pond on an early summer’s day.  I hear the songs of many birds who are accompanied by the buzz of insects and the croaks of frogs.  I even see a mother duck and her seven miniature ducklings tentatively quacking in her wake.

Oh yes. . .I am living my life like water lilies. . .lightheartedly!

If any bird deserves praise, this one sure does for perching so delicately on such thorny branches.  Many wild animals are faced with difficult situations, yet they somehow persevere and live successfully through adversity.  For that, they truly deserve praise!

Many of us face adversity in our lives, too.  How well you handle those “sticky” situations either “makes you or breaks you.”

Today, when you are faced with something that seems insurmountable, take a cue from this beautifully colored bird and. . .live your life. . .laudably!

Don’t these apples look absolutely gorgeous!  They sure do to me on a cold winter’s day.  The promise of spring and apple blossoms helps me make it through the winter.

How is it possible that a small seed from any one of these apples could very likely grow into a beautiful tree that will produce many apples itself?  It seems like a miracle!  But that is exactly what will happen.

Of course, a scientist could explain in detail precisely what natural processes cause any fruit to grow and produce.  Scientists and researchers of today are learning more and more about exactly how life is produced on this planet. 

Today, live your life as clearly stated as these apples.  Be exactly who you are and don’t let anyone sway you from your Truth.  Today. . .live your life. . .precisely!

It’s a little difficult to tell from the photo, but this squirrel is joyously and cheerfully munching on a peanut in the dead of winter.  Heck, I was munching on some peanuts earlier this afternoon and they are quite pleasing!

Sometimes it doesn’t take much in life to make us happy.  I recently read about the importance of writing in a gratitude journal.  Just a couple minutes every day makes a big difference in one’s perspective on life.  Try it.  Whether it’s a Word document you save on your computer or a page in a small notebook, take some time to list five things for which you are grateful today.  Then tomorrow, try to think of five other things that make you happy.  Pretty soon, you’ll be aware of all the goodness in your life!  Truly, it doesn’t take much to bring us joy and pleasure!

Today. . .live your life like this squirrel. . .gladly!
