A Comment from Carolyn. . .

Can anything be cuter than a bunch of puppies playing friskily?  They are so energetic and lively!

Puppy playfulness is what started this whole LiveLifeLike process.  When I saw how playfully our two Morkies, Rickie and Lucie, lived their lives, I knew they were on to something!  Why don’t we live our lives with playful abandon, too?

We can probably think of many excuses why we don’t spend more time playing. . .too much work to do, have to clean the house, too tired to get off the sofa. . .and on and on.

We were all energetic when we were children!  Today, take a cue from puppies, kittens, and kids. . .live your life energetically, lively, playfully, and especially. . .friskily!

Have you ever smelled the delicious scent of a rose?  So many of today’s flowers are bred to be long-lasting and colorful but the scent has been unintentionally bred out of them. 

Does your city have a Rose Garden, or at least a Botanical Garden with some roses in it?  When you have time, visit any well-maintained garden open to the public.  You’ll see some gorgeous specimens of tenderly cared for plants, and you probably find some deliciously scented roses, too!

It really is time to “stop and smell the roses!”  Don’t let another week pass by without visiting some fragrant part of Nature to awaken your senses.  Today, live your life like roses. . .fragrantly!

A Comment from Carolyn. . .

Relative to the length of our human lives, the sun does seem eternal, without beginning or end, everlasting, and not affected by time.  However, research done by astronomers and scientists shows otherwise.  There may be a point in “time” when our sun is no longer in existence.

Rather than dwell on that possibility, ponder the Truth that the essence which makes us who we are, is truly Eternal.  The essence that you know to be yourself, is the same Eternal essence that makes up the atoms in your shoe, in the tree outside your window, in your canine companion, in the food you eat.  Everything is the same Eternal Essence that is Everlasting and without beginning or end.

Today, remember that the real YOU is everlasting.  Don’t let petty things disturb you today.  Today, live your life like the sun. . .Eternally!

A Comment from Carolyn. . .

It’s hard to tell from this photo what the reason was for this dog to howl, although the photographer said his dog was “singing.”   At any rate, I am imagining this dog “singing” with joyful exuberance because he is so happy to be alive at that precise moment! 

One of our little dogs, Lucie (a Morkie), howls ecstatically when we return home from being away for even a little while.  I have no doubt that in that moment she is in a state of emotion so intense that she is carried beyond thought and self-control.  She is so happy and excited in that moment that she bursts out in song!

My wish for you is that today you have a moment (or two) of such joy that you can’t help but yell with delight!  Today, live your life like a dog. . .ecstatically!
