Today's photo is of the Island of Stromboli. It is one of three active volcanoes in Italy. If anything is outstanding or spectacular, a volcano certainly is. If Stromboli was a barren island uninhabited by humans, animals, or plants, then we might feel differently about the sensationalism of a volcano. While volcanoes are spectacular, they can also cause many negative consequences.
There is much in nature that is both good and bad, has both yin and yang, is positive and negative. Can't that be said about practically everything on our planet? The concept of duality is present within our world and within us.
We all have experienced the emotions of being happy and sad, joyful and fearful, calm and excited. Can we have love without hate? Ponder this question today. While you're thinking about that. . .
