We started cleaning our garden out and found a very large toad nestled in the soil lying in the shade of some large kale leaves. This toad was definitely meek in its behavior. I suppose it was trying to hide from us because its coloring certainly blended in well with the soil.
I knew once the kale plants were removed, it would be much too hot in the garden bed for this toad. I gently lifted him out with some surrounding soil and moved him to another moist and shady part of our yard. The meekness of this toad made it easy to accomplish the transfer.
Today, think of all the creatures with whom we share this beautiful planet. Sometimes meekness goes a long way in the quest for survival. Today, live your life like a toad. . .humbly!
