A Comment from Carolyn. . .

Plentifully. . .what a great word today to remind us of all the abundance in our lives.

I am reading the second book of Michael Gates Gill entitled, “How to Save Your Own Life:  15 Inspiring Lessons Including:  Finding Blessings in Disguise, Coping with Life’s Greatest Challenges, and Discovering Happiness at Any Age.”  I just finished the chapter about him being content and even extremely happy with not having much “stuff” in his life.

I live in the Midwest USA and am quite aware of the consumerist society in which we live.  Mr. Gill used to work for one of the largest advertising firms in the United States, and their one and only goal was to create advertising that would entice the American people to buy more and more stuff.  Mr. Gill even grew up in an atmosphere of wealth but was unexpectedly pulled away from that lifestyle.  According to his book, his tiny attic apartment is plenty for him.  He’s quite content with his furniture of plastic lawn chairs and a table.  And he chooses not to own a TV.  Read the book. . .it just may change your life!

Do you have abundance in your life?  Think of all the “stuff” you have.  Could you do without some of it?  Do you really need it all?  Consider reorganizing your home and consequently your life.  Take stock of what is really important in life. . .and live your life. . .plentifully!

Thanks for sharing this journey with me. . .
Many Thanks and Smiles. . .Carolyn
