Traditionally, the nasturtium represents patriotism and victory in battle.
I don’t like the thought of battle, but I do appreciate the thought that one can love and be devoted to one’s country. I think of my country in terms of it being my home. I had the fortune to travel to another country when I was a teenager. It was wonderful to visit the great city of Rome and the surrounding Italian countryside.
But it wasn’t long before I missed the comfort of my home country, the United States of America.
I don’t think my country is any better than any others, it’s just a place that I call home. In that respect, I am very patriotic. Are you?
