Isn’t it so true that many plants seem to us to be living their lives effortlessly?
Well, I suppose if we looked at it from a plant’s point of view, they might not feel that way. I imagine they encounter many struggles, from pushing up through the earth, to dealing with the ravages of insects, to reaching for life-giving sunlight on cloudy days. Heck, maybe this violet thorn flower has exerted a lot of physical and mental energy to achieve its goal of blossoming.
But maybe this flower didn’t look upon its life as a struggle. It is simply just being that which it is. Perhaps that is how we should take our cue from plants.
Today, try to live your life like a violet thorn flower. You truly don’t need to exert much physical or mental energy to be who you are. Just BE! Today, live your life. . .effortlessly!
