Does the lamb in today’s photo generate
within you feelings of tenderness and affection? Why is it that babies of most species look so adorable? Perhaps those feelings of tenderness generated within the observer trigger a reaction to protect the young.
Mothers of most species are genetically programmed to care for their young. However, fathers, siblings, and other relatives also take on some of the childcare duties. Consider the Emperor penguin and the amazing efforts the male penguins do to protect precious eggs through harsh winters.
Is there someone in your life for whom you have feelings of tenderness and affection? If so, express your feelings either verbally or by action. Let that person know how special he or she is to you!
