In Victorian times, certain flowers had specific meanings because the flower selection was limited.  In those times, it was very common for people to use symbols and gestures to communicate with rather than words. 

The apple blossom has historically meant promise.  Soon, we will see delicate pink and ivory blossoms gracing apple trees with the promise of abundant fruit!

When you look in your child’s eyes, do you see great potential?  Do you have great expectations of your child developing in a desirable manner?  Of course, you do!  It’s only natural for us to expect our children to do better than we have done.  But do not surrender to defeat within your own life!  You still have great promise, too!  You just need to recognize it to make it so.

Today. . .live your life like these beautiful apple blossoms. . .promisingly!
